IRSA's Certified Interpreter Training

Training session dates to be announced in January

If you are fluent in English and another language and are interested in joining IRSA's team of interpreters for occasional part-time work, this training is for you. The training is open to new interpreters and those already working in that role with our organization.

All interpreters working with IRSA clients must undergo a screening and intake process to ensure the quality of interpretation services. IRSA's Certified Interpreter Training is mandatory for all interpreters contracted by IRSA. Each interpreter working with our organization must take this training and be recertified every three years.

Working as an interpreter for IRSA will provide an opportunity for occasional part-time work that pays $17 an hour. In addition, it will help build your resume and Canadian work experience and give you a chance to serve your communities in a meaningful way.

Training sessions for interpreters are offered on an as-needed basis.
