Workshop: Cyber Safety
Tuesday, March 26
This workshop is for newcomers to Canada who would like to learn more about cyber safety and how to protect one's personal information while using computers and other electronic devices connected to the Internet.
We utilize the Internet, computers and mobile devices every day. Are we keeping our personal information safe?
Did you know that 95% of cyber threats happen because we do not take the time to properly protect ourselves when we use the Internet?
Khalid Shami, Business Development Director of RESTGU, a Charlottetown-based company that provides a multi-functional networking platform for the restaurant business, will be facilitating this workshop. He will address the possible consequences of failing to adequately protect your personal computer, laptop, tablet, and other devices and online data from external threats. Participants will get essential tips and learn techniques and methods to prevent possible cyber threats.
All newcomers who would like to learn more about this topic are welcome to attend.
